structure of curriculum

The Professional Master of Landscape Architecture lasts 24 months, with an academic organization every 6 months presenting a total of 360 hours and 24 credits.

The subjects will be presented as:

 

First Term:

Design Workshop I- 4 credits

Theories of Landscape Architecture- 3 credits

3 optional subjects – 1 credit each

 

Second Term:

Design Workshop II – 4 credits

Methodologies of Landscape Architecture- 3 credits

3 optional subjects – 1 credit each

 

Third Term:

Design Workshop III – 4 credits

PROURB usually offers the courses of Master and Doctorate in Urbanism and the course of Master of Professional Study in Landscape Architecture. It also owns two special classes of Doctorate due to the agreements with Universidade Estadual do Maranhão (UEMA) and with Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT) (DINTER UEMA and DINTER UFMT). The Program integrates the National System of Postgraduadiation being certified by CAPES/MEC.

The structure of curriculum concerning Master in Urbanism, consolidated since 1996, is being adjusted and updated aiming the enrichment of the program contents and the amendment to the development of the research subject areas, as well as it has been aiming to offer a great and flexible variety of subjects. The current structure of curriculum is thus constituted:

Total credits of subjects: 24 credits

Total credits of compulsory subjects: 16 credits

Total de credits of optional subjects: 8 credits

 

The compulsory subjects are organized as it follows:

 

First Term

Studio I – 3 credits

History and Theory of Urbanism – 3 credits

Research Methodology– 2 credits

PROURB Seminars– 1 credit

 

Second Term

Seminar for Dissertation – 2 credits

Theory of Urban Form– 3 credits

PROURB Seminars – 1 credit
