A fundamental commitment at PROURB, in line with the values expressed in UFRJ’s Institutional Development Plan (PDI), is diversity, accessibility, and social inclusion. This is reflected in the selection processes for admission to the Master’s and Doctoral programs, as well as in the accreditation of researchers and faculty members.
Regarding students, affirmative action policies in the selection process have enabled social inclusion, ensuring diversity among students from underprivileged regions of the country and South American countries. PROURB also encourages the enrollment of students through PEC-PG scholarships from Latin American and African countries. Similarly, the criteria for distributing scholarships prioritize, among other factors, the student’s socioeconomic status.
