PROURB receives quotas for master’s and doctoral scholarships from various agencies. Currently, it participates in the PROEX system, directly managing CAPES scholarships. These are supplemented by scholarships offered by CNPq and FAPERJ.
The scholarship committee is responsible for awarding scholarships according to the rules set by the agencies and the Program. The Program also offers sandwich master’s and doctoral scholarships, depending on the availability provided by funding agencies. Additionally, it welcomes students from Latin America and Africa with PEC/PG scholarships from CAPES, as well as students from foreign institutions with scholarships from their home countries.
