exchange programs

PROURB is recognized for its tradition of national as well as international agreements and exchanges. The Institutional Project has as its main objective the teaching, research and exchange interaction, as it understands that the production of knowledge is also part of the exchanges established betweenn institutions and researchers outside the program. This ensures permanent dynamism and updating of knowledge and theoretical and methodological reflections of the faculty.

PROJECT WORKSHOPS OR JOINT SUBJECTS

PROURB generally offers joint subjects or project workshops with other Brazilian or foreign universities. In 2012 it took part of Workshop de Projeto at PUC-Valparaíso (disciplina Atelier III) in PROURB. In 2013 it is predicted the accomplishment of two project workshops with other foreign universities and participation of their students: one within the exchange of cooperation with PUC-Valparaíso (funds approved by FAPERJ) and the othe within Projeto Alfa ADU 2020 (European Union funds).

Participation on DINTER program

PROURB was the pioneer in the field of architecture and urbanism, when it proposed in 2006 the first DINTER in the field with Universidade Estadual do Maranhão (started in 2007), completed in 2011.

In 2010,through Edital CAPES Novas Fronteiras, the program was approved by DINTER with Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso and Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso (DINTER-UFMT-UNEMAT), wich educational activities will start in March 2011. In the selection process concluded in September 2010 , there were 11 students approved.

DINTER-UFMT-UNEMAT follows the same didatic and pedagogical premises of DINTER-UEMA, with its specific differences that are part of Edital da CAPES Novas Fronteiras.

The proposition considered the key cornerstones as the following:

1 –   the doctoral level should be grounded on academic research and knowledge production;

2 – the academic research requires a specific training, including the participation in consolidated research groups, permanent discussion with doctor researchers, libraries and current bibliography;

3 – the produced theses must be original and present theoretical and methodological structure and content compatible with the scientific accuracy.

4 – the quality of the course offered to the special DINTER group must be the same quality offered to the regular students of the Program;

5 – the availability of bibliographic resource and sources of knowledge and information became accessible with the growing popularity of internet, allowing current information access on scientific and academic production in the field.

6 – the real time interpersonal communication is possible through internet resources, making distant exchanges easier;

Main interinstitutional agreements on the last nine years.
